Demi Perri is a ceramic artist working primarily in porcelain, with a focus on single-edition sculpture, wall-based works, and rare jewelry releases.

Her work is rooted in the belief that objects are not inert. They carry the time, attention, discipline, and life force of the maker. Each work enters a space with the presence of its making intact.

Perri is not interested in clay as a vehicle for practical goods. Her work moves away from function and toward form: sculpture as inquiry, surface as language, and the handmade object as a charged presence.

Her practice is shaped by material investigation and philosophical inquiry: how matter changes under pressure, how form carries meaning, and how beauty can emerge from instability, accident, and control.

Raised between the forests of Muskoka and the density of Toronto, Perri’s work carries a tension between the elemental and the refined: earth and polish, instinct and discipline, imperfection and precision.

Through clay, mineral, fire, and hand, she explores the strange and often absurd nature of existence — the way beauty, decay, order, accident, and spirit can occupy the same object.

Each piece is formed, glazed, fired, refined, and finished by hand. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is outsourced. The work is slow because the work is costly — not only in material, but in presence.
