These Terms of Service govern your use of the Silverwood Ceramics website and online store.
By visiting this website, browsing our products, creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy, and any other policies posted on this website.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this website or place an order.
ABOUT SILVERWOOD CERAMICS
Silverwood Ceramics is a Canadian ceramic studio offering handmade ceramic goods, jewelry, objects, and related products.
Throughout these Terms, “Silverwood Ceramics,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Silverwood Ceramics. “You” and “your” refer to the customer, visitor, purchaser, or user of this website.
SECTION 1 - ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION
By using this website or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your place of residence, or that you are using the website under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when placing an order or creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for any activity that occurs under your account.
SECTION 2 - HANDMADE PRODUCTS
Silverwood Ceramics products are handmade. Variations in colour, glaze, texture, size, shape, finish, surface detail, and appearance are part of the nature of handmade ceramic work.
Product photos are provided to represent the item as accurately as possible, but colours and details may appear differently depending on your screen, device settings, lighting, and display calibration.
Minor handmade variations are not considered defects unless expressly stated otherwise.
SECTION 3 - PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, change product descriptions, correct errors, or remove items from the website at any time without notice.
Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance of that order. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, inventory errors, shipping restrictions, or other issues affecting our ability to fulfill the order.
SECTION 4 - ORDERS AND PAYMENT
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. Your order is accepted only once payment has been processed and we confirm the order.
You agree to provide accurate billing, payment, and shipping information. You are responsible for ensuring that all order details are correct before submitting your order.
Prices are listed in the currency shown at checkout. Prices may change without notice. Unless expressly stated, prices do not include shipping, taxes, customs duties, import charges, brokerage fees, tariffs, or other destination-country charges.
SECTION 5 - SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Silverwood Ceramics is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, weather, holidays, labour disruptions, incorrect shipping information, or events outside our reasonable control.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Silverwood Ceramics is not responsible for orders delayed, returned, lost, or misdelivered because of incorrect or incomplete address information provided by the customer.
Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery is subject to the carrier’s handling, timing, and policies. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
SECTION 6 - INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS, DUTIES, IMPORT TAXES, AND VAT
Orders shipped outside Canada may be subject to import duties, VAT, customs processing fees, brokerage fees, carrier handling fees, tariffs, or other taxes charged by the destination country or carrier.
These charges are not included in the product price or shipping fee unless they are clearly shown and collected at checkout. Any additional charges due upon import are the responsibility of the buyer.
Silverwood Ceramics is not responsible for customs delays, unpaid import charges, destination-country processing requirements, or carrier fees charged after shipment.
Refused packages, abandoned packages, or orders returned because import charges were not paid are not eligible for a refund of original shipping costs. Any return shipping, carrier fees, customs charges, or unrecoverable costs may be deducted from any refund otherwise available under our Refund Policy.
SECTION 7 - RETURNS, EXCHANGES, AND REFUNDS
Returns, exchanges, cancellations, and refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.
Please review the Refund Policy carefully before placing an order. Certain items are final sale, non-returnable, or eligible for return only under specific conditions.
Jewelry is always final sale. For hygiene, safety, and quality-control reasons, jewelry is not eligible for return, exchange, refund, cancellation, or price adjustment.
Artist Seconds are always final sale. They are not eligible for return, exchange, refund, cancellation, or price adjustment. By purchasing an Artist Second, you acknowledge that the item may include visible imperfections, irregularities, glaze variations, surface marks, warping, kiln effects, asymmetry, colour variation, or other cosmetic flaws, and is sold as-is.
SECTION 8 - DAMAGE IN TRANSIT
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@silverwoodceramics.com with your order number and clear documentation of the damage.
To assess the claim and, where applicable, submit a carrier claim, we require:
- Clear photos of the damaged item;
- Clear photos of the outer shipping box;
- Clear photos of the inner packaging;
- Clear photos of the shipping label;
- Clear photos showing the damaged item, packaging, and shipping label together in one frame; and
- Any additional photos or video reasonably required to document the condition of the shipment.
Please keep the damaged item and all original packaging until the claim has been resolved. Claims may be delayed or denied if the item, packaging, or required documentation is unavailable.
Silverwood Ceramics reserves the right to assess damage claims on a case-by-case basis. Submission of photos or videos does not guarantee a refund, replacement, or credit.
SECTION 9 - PRODUCT USE AND SAFETY
Ceramic products are fragile and should be handled with care. Unless a product listing expressly states otherwise, products should be treated as delicate handmade objects.
Jewelry, decorative items, and ceramic objects should not be used in ways inconsistent with their intended purpose. Silverwood Ceramics is not responsible for damage, injury, or loss resulting from misuse, improper handling, alteration, neglect, impact, exposure to unreasonable force, or use in a manner unsuitable for fragile handmade ceramic work.
SECTION 10 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this website, including photographs, text, product designs, graphics, logos, branding, layout, videos, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Silverwood Ceramics and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, display, sell, or exploit any content from this website without our prior written permission.
Silverwood Ceramics’ name, branding, images, product designs, and related materials may not be used without our written consent.
SECTION 11 - CUSTOMER CONTENT, REVIEWS, AND FEEDBACK
If you submit reviews, photos, comments, feedback, testimonials, or other content to Silverwood Ceramics, you confirm that you have the right to share that content.
By submitting such content, you grant Silverwood Ceramics permission to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, and share it for business, marketing, promotional, and website purposes, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
You agree not to submit content that is false, unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene, infringing, misleading, or otherwise harmful.

You agree not to use this website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, malicious, or harmful purposes.
