Green ceramic buttons handmade in stoneware, a durable button set for sewing, knitting, and garment making.
Handmade 22mm speckled stoneware buttons finished with a reactive green glaze that develops natural variation during firing. The glaze moves and breaks subtly across the surface, softening the underlying texture and creating depth rather than a uniform pattern.
This reactive finish allows each button to develop its own character while remaining visually calm and textile-friendly. These ceramic sewing and knitting buttons are designed to integrate seamlessly into garments made from wool, cashmere, linen, and other natural fibers.
⟡ Details
• Diameter: 22 mm
• Material: Speckled stoneware
• Finish: Reactive green glaze
• Texture: Pressed texture, softened by glaze movement
• Holes: 2-hole
• Style: Organic, quiet, refined
• Each button is one of a kind
🟡 Buttons are sold in sets of six (6). Photos may show multiple buttons for display purposes.
-----------------------------------
⟡ Use
Ideal for knitwear, cardigans, tailored garments, and refined sewing projects where subtle surface variation is preferred over graphic texture.
-----------------------------------
⟡ Care
• Turn the garment inside out and place it in a soft garment bag before washing.
• Hand-washing is recommended.
• For dry cleaning, ask that each button be wrapped in foil or another soft barrier to protect the glaze.
⟡ Photography note: Images are taken in natural daylight. Light conditions vary between bright and overcast days, and while I carefully colour-correct for accuracy, minor tonal differences between photos may occur.
-----------------------------------
✧ Craftsmanship
Each button is made start to finish in my studio — shaped, refined, slowly dried, fired, hand-painted with glaze, and fired again at high temperature. The full ceramic process takes over a week and allows no shortcuts. No molds, no mass production. Subtle differences in geometry, glaze movement, and tone reflect the integrity of handcrafted ceramic.
Every. Thing. Matters.
