Handmade ceramic buttons in a rich iron brown finish with natural tonal variation. Formed from speckled stoneware for strength and durability, these buttons develop subtle differences in surface colour and depth during firing.
The glaze pools and interacts with the clay body, producing a range of brown tones from deeper iron to warmer brown highlights. The finished surface is smooth and balanced, with smoothed holes for consistent, snag-free threading. Variations in colour and surface character occur naturally as part of the firing process, giving each button quiet individuality while remaining cohesive as a set.

• Turn the garment inside out and place it in a soft garment bag before washing.
• Hand-washing is recommended.
• For dry cleaning, ask that each button be wrapped in foil or another soft barrier to protect the glaze.

Each button is made start to finish in my studio — shaped, refined, slowly dried, fired, hand-painted with glaze, and fired again at high temperature. The full ceramic process takes over a week and allows no shortcuts. No molds, no mass production. Subtle differences in geometry, glaze movement, and tone reflect the integrity of handcrafted ceramic.
